Outdoing the London Bridge Experience on their doorstep

And not in a good way. Following today's appointment with the consultant came the obligatory blood test. All good, or so I thought...

I left the hospital, crossed Tooley Street and ordered a frappucino from the Starbucks kiosk. Going to pay for it both the Starbucks man and I noticed the crease of my elbow was covered in blood and the small round plaster wasn't coping well. He was great, providing tissues, water and plasters as well as the much needed frappucino, but it was a bit unexpected. And all of this right across the road from the London Bridge Experience where they use fake blood like its going out of fashion!

Seriously, I was a bit shocked and now I've bruised more than ever before. The scan results were pretty conclusive and it seems I have Graves disease, which the consultant says isn't as bad as it sounds! It means working to get the dosage of the medication right, which means regular blood tests. The first of which should be in around three weeks or so. Given today's experience I've been feeling a little sorry for myself...
