The theme this week is up close and personal. I've chosen plants as I'm comfortable photographing them and because it's something that interests me. They also pretty much stay still!
I love the "frothiness" of pyracantha at this time of year, as each white dot of a flower appears, swells and opens.
Zoom out slightly and you can see the delicateness of the flowers, something that strikes me as being at odds with its sharp, prickly thorns.
In the autumn though, when the hedge is full of orange berries I suspect that will change and it'll look just as dramatic as its flowers do now.
