Love this #38: A Sorbetto top to make from Coletterie.com

This looks a great summer top, with simple lines which depending on the fabric you use could be formal or casual, dressed up or dressed down. I'm very tempted to actually dig out my sewing machine and see if I can make it.

I'm pretty sure my Mum had a dress in material very similar to this in the 70s

You see there's a free downloadable pattern too on www.coletterie.com

and the post says "This blouse is a true stash-buster and a great way to use some pretty buttons or trims."

So I reckon I could give this a go without doing what I usually do...

Yes, that's have a great idea to sew something, rush out and buy what I need and never quite pluck up the courage to do anything with them. Then eventually despatch said bought items to my mum with a vague instruction of what needs doing...

So, if I use material I already have - I mean, I must have something suitable...

Then, if it's as easy as it says - they say takes two hours from start to finish...

I say it'd probably take that long for me to get the pattern printed and sorted out, let alone the agonising about actually cutting the material...

And if I like it made as much as I love the picture, then I might, just might rush out and buy some lovely Liberty prints to make some more!

I'm definitely the kind of girl that says "if you find something you like, buy it in all the colours they have you like!"

So watch this space (but don't stare or I'll get nervous...)
