Word of the week: Countdown!

And not the sort that ends with me singing the jingle from the TV show. Although to be fair, I may have been tempted once or twice!

A few of you have noticed that I've been a little busy over the last couple of weeks, with my words being Timing and Peppy. Well the reason for that is in mid-October I'm going back to work. Yes, I've got myself a six-month contract doing what I did before, not in town but twenty minutes or so down the road. I'm looking forward to it, but it does mean I'm finding myself cramming things in right now!

This week has seen rugby matches in pubs, lunch in a very nice Brasserie Blanc, a walk around Burnham Beeches - a beautiful place, spending some time with mum and dad, rhubarb and apple crumbles, gardening, a visit to my local golf range - which was as funny as it sounds and ended with tapas and tasting some beer and wine and breakfast followed by a walk on the beach in Lyme Regis on our way to a few days in Devon.

I'm sure Devon will be just as full but relaxing too. We've already ticked off Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, Budleigh Salterton, the National Trust's A La Ronde, a Devon pasty - just as good as its more famous version and clotted cream (but not together!)

How's your week been?
