My week this week: Calendar

This week it seems I've had one eye on my calendar, more than usual - so what better word to sum up my week this week?

Last week I said that January is the worst month for me, but I was reminded in one of the comments that it's already over half-way through, and now there's actually only a week of it left. Thank you to Tracey from Mummyshire for pointing out the positive for me.

Actually today I am feeling rather smug with myself, as I have the day off work. I'd booked this day a few months ago as a random day off as a treat for January. I don't have grand plans, although I am getting a much needed haircut and we're hoping to visit the theatre later using some competition win tickets, but it's a treat enough to have the day to myself and catch up with what I need to.

Earlier this week when I saw the email with the next Blog Camp date in, I scurried off to my calendar to check my plans. By the time I worked out it was a Saturday and gone back to book my ticket, they'd all gone. Hmmnn. Then I was refreshing the screen so I could get myself onto the waiting list, which I did.  As I'm not sure if I'll get to Blog Camp in Birmingham, I'm thinking about going to Brit Mums Live at the end of June - who else has signed up already?

It's not only me thinking about dates this week either, MOH casually mentioned that the leave calendar at work is filling up quickly around our wedding anniversary in June, so we might want to book some time off and finesse the dates nearer the time. I think this is the first time ever he's done this, so once the shock subsided we've earmarked a two week slot for our trip to cycle the Loire Valley. Best I get on and do some proper planning...

And finally, the fifth of my five today is I've bought myself a beautiful new diary. I wasn't planning to, and I haven't had a paper diary for quite a while, but I decided to browse the shops yesterday lunchtime as I was working at the Stratford office. I found myself in Cath Kidston and couldn't tear myself away from this pretty diary. The fact that it was half-price helped of course and already I'm rather attached to it.

How's your week been?
