Black & White photo #11: An Elephant at the Tower

This week's photo was taken at the Tower of London before my spell there as a London Ambassador during London 2012. As part of the training provided we spent some time in the Tower of London experiencing it as a visitor - there's no better way to learn about a place, as from the inside.

This elephant sculpture looked great, if you look closely you can see the mesh it's made of.  There were also monkeys on the roof which were also pretty realistic, you definitely needed to look twice!

I think this works well in black and white with the texture of the wall, arch and staircase as well as the main subject of the shot.

I'm linking up with Charly over at PODCast where there'll be plenty more black and white photos so pop over there and take a look.
